U.S. Congress candidate Dandekar visits four county conventions

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (March 8, 2014) – Swati Dandekar’s congressional campaign (IA CD-01) visited fifteen county conventions within the first Iowa congressional district Saturday, with Dandekar personally appearing in four counties. Dandekar says talking with delegates around the district was top priority for her campaign.

“The first district must stay in democratic hands,” said Dandekar. “I am the best candidate to make sure that happens. The democratic activists out at today’s county conventions are the first line of defense against a Tea Party takeover.”

Dandekar visited Black Hawk, Linn, Jones and Dubuque counties. Dandekar was represented at Poweshiek, Marshall and Tama counties by former Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge. Campaign staff also represented Dandekar at Jackson, Benton, Buchanan, Fayette, Winneshiek, Worth, Mitchell and Allamakee counties.
